The LAB is a DIY or citizen science focused open source software entity. We are building tools and network protocols to put health science in the hands and hard drives of the people. Especially for the UNhealth-ed and rural people of the world. We have three current DIY healthscience projects:

HealthSpan science

The first test project for the LAB. Peers capture, control and take ownership of their own wearable data. The DIY HealthScience toolkit is used to observe the data and to setup network experiments to continuously aggregate results and outcomes. Experiment use case examples include, daily step planing and when do I sleep the best? As the range of data entering the network expands these experiments can be put in a holitic context.

Air Quality science

The Luftdaten air quality is worldwide citizen science project to collect particle matter and weather measurements. The HealthScience network can help visualise the data and use it in HealthSpan experiments, Does the pollution level effect my sleep?

Blood Sugar science

Continious blood glucose monitoring is a necessary daily activity for millions of people with diabetes. This technology is now being used by those wishing to understand how their bodies react to activities like intermittent fasting. Is it better to fast for regular short periods or fewer but longer periods? The DIY healscience toolkit brings rigour to conducting such experiments.

Decentralised Machine Learning Protocol

The building of a secure and immutable privacy preserving network of evidence that guarantees reproducibility and machine computational compatibility. The toolkit uses the SAFEflow library, middle-'data'-ware to connect to data and the network. github.

CALE

An evolution algorithm that oversees the DIY healthscience toolkit making it ease to manage and interact with the wider HS.network github.

CNRL (computational network reference layer)

Inspired by the referencing work of librarians the CNRL uses cryptogrpaphy and governance peer to peer DAO's (decentralised autonomous organisations) to guarantee the interoperability of data in the network. github.
